News world wide 8-1-2009 TKE Korea Secured Two Major Project from Posco E&C In November 2008, TKE Korea won one of the biggest elevator and escalator orders in Korea to supply a total of 65 units, including 45 gearless SC400 elevator (3.5 m/s) from TKE Germany, 10 MRL elevator (1m/s), and 10 escalators for the # Central Star in Seo-myeon, Busan. With a total floor area of 433,834 square meters, The # Central Star will consist of 5 buildings, each 58 floors above ground and 4 floors underground. Being built by Posco E&C, it will become a high-class residential complex equipped with hotel-grade facilities. The installation of the 65 units is scheduled to be completed in August 2011. On the same day, Tke Korea also secured another project from Posco E&C to supply 40 units including 24 SC400 gearless elevators (5 m/s), 6 MRL elevators (1.5 m/s) and 10 escalators, to the Posco E&C HQ in Songdo International City, Incheon. The 41-storey new Posco E&C HQ (37 floors aboveground and 4 floors underground) has a total floor area of 142,149 square meters and us designed to be the best intelligent building in Incheon. The installation of the elevators and escalators is expected to be completed in February 2010.   The success in winning these two major orders at the same time is the result if the wonderful cooperation of the installation, service, sales engineering and the sales function, manifested especially by Jeong-Hoon Lee ( Sales Manager, TKEK)  and Jong-woo Kim (Sales Engineering Manager, TKEK), who devoted almost 18 months in preparing design data and providing technical advice to Posco E&C.
